Commando Paintball Sports — Attraction in Town of Little Suamico

I will preface this by saying I am an airsoft player. For a long time this was the only place I could play within driving distance and that is still true. They have been putting more attention on airsoft and have been more accommodating. I will also say they have been doing a much better job than in the past making sure we have what we need to have a good time. But there is still room for improvement.

First and foremost, they police the barrel covers, which is a good thing. However the issue is still from a safety perspective. They are still very lax with chrono to the point where it is unsafe and here is why. First off they do not supply BBs for chrono, they claim they chrono with .20 but no time I have been there did the ref doing the chrono load bbs into my mags. You can use heavily bbs to cheat chrono, which is a problem. The other issue is even if they use .20 for chrono, they go by FPS and not joules. Joule creep is very real for HPA and Snipers especially and it's dangerous. They need to switch to chronoing by joules and they need to physically load BBs into magazines, preferably heavier weights like .30 or .32 for more accurate results. This is the only site I have played at that hasn't switched to Joules for chrono and on the field it shows because I have been hit with guns shooting way too hot.

They do have a MED but it's not enforced well, which sucks because of the aforementioned joule creep. If they switch to Joules for chrono, I think they will find they will only need MED for snipers and DMRs, which will make it much easier for refs to spot.

They ran an airsoft event for the first time we had full reign of the field and I was excited for it. It wasn't managed or communicated the greatest. I am happy they attempted and I realize these events take a ton of time and effort to plan but they need to tighten up their rules a bit because what happened is I was spawn camped most of the game and I just was frustrated and called it an early day. First time I ever walked off a field but it wasn't fun. I am hoping they learn from this and make events more structured in the future, it was a first attempt and I have no animosity and will happily try future events if they host them but they need to make sure to listen to feedback and move forward.

They seem open to supporting more airsoft in the future and I do not want to sound overly negative because I have generally had a good time there and airsoft support has improved as well but taking a few extra steps will make it a more fun and more safe experience overall. In the northeast part of the state they are still the only game in town without driving 2+ hours. I hope they start taking feedback and make a better and safer experience for everyone. If they start making more positive steps for airsoft I will happily edit this review. As it stands, I will come here to forfeit an hour off my drive to play, but it is not my preferred...

I was just a driver bringing nine boys so it took two cars. Was told the paint does not stain. I did not play but watched from the picnic tables on the other side of the fence it was awesome they were having so much fun but I didn't realize stepping on the balls then bursting off the ground paint got on my pants. My favorite pants I didn't know till the next day and tried to wash it out scrubbed and scrubbed dish soap cold water it didn't lift the color a bit. Then I went to get my car I'm glad I put a sheet down where the boys were sitting and a towel in the front but the backs of their clothes leaned against my back seat and now I have three yellow paint spots in my car I just paid to have detailed. Angry that they said it did not stain. Don't lie... has anybody tested this out white leather seats ugh the boys of course we're wearing 60 to $160 sweatshirts.. if the words it does not stain didn't happen I would have prepared more for these paint splotches I wouldn't have wore my favorite pants. Would have been way more careful. But I tried to put my worries aside because someone said no worries it does not stain.....now what should I do???? Update: Gentleman believe it was Derek called me and assured me it does not stain he has tested it with white shirt went through a lot to figure out what kind of paint does not stain he said. So ran the jeans through the washing machine hot water and yes yay the stain came out. So happy. So glad he called and was confident it would come out as he's never had this problem. And he was right it did. So sorry for not giving it a good washing before I complained about hand washing it. I think it was cuz I used cold water ...idk..but, it did come...

Great for paintball. Very cool and interesting field. Very good staff. Always helpful and nice. However here is the kicker and I do apologize. Airsoft is not that great. Due to the rampant amount of cheating, lack of chronoing for FPS some days and never chronoing for joules, as well as players not being kicked for obvious offenses, very young refs, I must rate 3 stars. You guys are seriously a great place to airsoft. The best, only, outdoor field in the area. You have alot of great potential. I seriously understand paintball is your main income and I respect that. However if you want to do airsoft as well as you do paintball some improvements need to be made. I would be absolutely glad to help you out. I love Derek and the gang you guys are great.
