Fire Creek Farms — Attraction in Town of Livonia

I am a massive supporter of shopping local and supporting small business. Especially farmers. So i am posting this in hopes Fire Creek does a turn around and gets their act together. First interaction, tried purchasing through their website. It didn't work. I tried calling and placing the order over the phone because I had questions too. No answer, no call back. Finally I got my order placed, it said it was ready for pick up twice. Twice my husband went to get it, and it wasn't ready. Now just this last week, we wanted to give them another chance and support local business again. We wanted to do like $500 meat package and a couple $200 meat packages for our employees. The girl behind the counter couldn't answer any questions, she told me to call and talk to the owner. I told her I've tried it, never got a call back. She then told me the owner is out back. Out back where? She said the back barn. I'm a farm girl, you don't just waltz onto someone's property, you don't know. She didn't offer to go get the owner or call her for me, or she what she could find out. Im not giving 1 star bc i still believe in helping local farmers as much as I can and I know how reviews can hurt. So please, do better and we will try again...

Wonderful hay; very rude staff.

EDIT: per the owners’ response to my review; I understand the payment difficulties. No worries there, it happens. (Though frankly, it’s 2021 and you should be able to accept credit cards as a normal payment option, not as the exception.) However, the way we were approached when the hay was being loaded was an inappropriate way to address a client/customer, period. They were not simply “ensuring we had a secure load” - that would not have been an issue. We were barked at and asked if we were “gonna load up or just stand there”. I get that you have to defend yourself online and convince an army of friends to post 5 star reviews to combat ours, but there’s no need to lie.

Best place EVER!! I have passed by so many times since they opened and always wanted to stop but didn't until recent and may I tell you I'm a picky person about my veggies etc. And where I get them... price is a big factor also....feeding a family of four healthy wise has become a major expense. Fire Creek Farms is absolutely wonderful not only in veggies and goods but that country home feel and prices. I'm telling you now I HIGHLY recommend to everyone and whenever I get the chance I will always try and stop there! To me a rare...
