The Wingate Barn — Attraction in Town of Livonia

They've done an amazing job renovating and classing this place up in the 5 years since I was last here. I am no farm girl and always thought barn wedding we're not for me, but I would actually hold my wedding here. It was perfect blend of shabby-chic. Really beautiful, great food and service. Only complaints: 1. service was a little TOO good...had a server try to take my cup and I said I was keeping it, she walked around the table and tried again then finally snagged it the minute I hit the dance floor. 2. Also it was very cold &windy and having the back door open for guests to get to the bar made it very uncomfortable for everyone one that end of the barn. They need to set up a breezeway or at least a privacy screen to keep the air from blowing directly in on guests. 3. Amazing venue that you can do so much with, not to mention the owner, Dolores, who is there for you from day 1. I can’t begin to tell you how much of a help she was throughout our entire planning process. She let us stop by a couple of times to figure out table layouts. We had access to the barn Friday – Sunday so we were able to go Friday morning to set up and decorate which she helped us with. She also helped with our rehearsal and was there the entire day of the ceremony to make sure things ran smoothly. She was so genuine and sweet, she honestly felt like family throughout it all. Leighana and the staff at Wingate are just amazing! My Niece's Wedding Reception was Beautiful at Wingate!
