This is a major hidden gem that we only just discovered after 5+ years of visiting wineries on Seneca Lake. It is a pretty tiny place (4 tasting tables inside) but if you are after some of the best red wine to be found on Seneca Lake, you have to check it out. Their slogan is "red is all we do", and this focus really allows Shalestone to create some amazing wines.

We were paired with a server who did not even make any eye contact upon entering the winery, as well as no explanations upon pouring each wine for the tasting. The owner's daughter served our wine and explained each one. She was extremely knowledgeable about the wine, the process that led to a particular wine type and Finger Lakes Wines in general.
