There was no one around when we arrived mid afternoon. This was a surprise since we read it was open. We were glad to find a display containing maps. The bear trail is long and more advanced. Wouldn’t recommend for beginners. Lots of hills. Trail was well marked the entire hike. I logged 3 miles. Not much for wildlife this time of year. Lots of critter holes and deer hair. Two woodpeckers was the extent of living creatures. We just wish we would have had some guidance on trail choice and skill level.

What an incredible place! So many plants to look at; a small bog (one of my favorite environments…contact them ahead of time to get the most out of that section; we’ll be back for that at some point, if possible) and just a really beautiful landscape in general! The whole facility looks lovely! We didn’t say there, but are definitely considering it (only a tough call because we have a family cabin about an hour away)! I can’t believe we’ve never visited before!

One of my favorite places in Wisconsin just got better with a brand new shower building for people staying in the dorms. They have two really interesting cabins that are available as short term vacation rentals. There are miles and miles of trails through woods, prairie, lakeside, and even a bog. They hold public events throughout the year and are helping to keep Wisconsin beautiful and ecologically healthy.

I've used Hunt Hill as a meeting space for a group of 25-30 on several occasions. They offer the Richard Grand Recreational Hall which serves as a wonderful space for a full day meeting. The meeting room features a built-in projector/screen/speakers , full kitchen and comfortable tables and chairs. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and we enjoy taking breaks outdoors. We've hired the Hunt Hill group coordinator several times at a nominal fee to conduct team-building exercises which all attendees seem to enjoy. There are several restaurants in the area willing to cater and the convenience of having the kitchen to store/prepare snacks/refreshments is helpful. If you are looking for a unique setting to hold a business...

We had our wedding here 10/12/24. It is such a beautiful place to have a wedding! We had to move ours inside due to rain but the rec hall is beautiful inside with an amazing fireplace. Sage was our main contact for the event and went above and beyond! She responded to emails and any question I had promptly and was so friendly!!! I cannot say enough kind things about her. We also stayed in the Log Cabin located on the property. Built in the 1930s, it is very rustic but beautiful and fit our needs perfectly. I was able to get ready with my bridesmaids there...
