Rio Reservoir — Attraction in Town of Lumberland

Mt family loves the Rio reservoir. There's a public boat launch w a dock for fishing and we take the kids and dogs there to swim in the summer time. Theres a small natural "beach" not much sand, pretty rocky, but it's still so nice. There's plenty of parking space and you can drive your canoe or boat right down to the water front. Breathtaking calm and serene place to fish and kayak. Early mornings are the best. Beautiful boat launch and dock! Plenty of parking. An awesome surprising waterfall awaits you if you paddle halfway through. Quite deep in some places to fish. Shallow brushes and lay downs are enjoyable to fish weedless presentations....

Beautiful nature hike out across dam. Always a chance to spot eagles soaring high and an occasional dive bomb in for a fish dinner. Several parking spots for sport fishing and eagle watching. Patrols by the National...
