Malone Golf Club & Grille Room — Attraction in Town of Malone

We just came back from a short but wonderful golf getaway. Although we got rained out on our second day I cannot thank the Malone Golf Course and their amazing team for a wonderful experience for our group of 39 ladies. Our group of CWGI ladies based in Ottawa were not disappointed. We registered to stay and play 2 nights (Holiday Inn Express). We also arranged a group dinner the first evening. Everything was well planned and my initial contact with Scott Delair the GM was very professional, friendly and very helpful. Afterall, coordinating 30 ladies is no small feat! Jeff and his proshop team including the cart "boys" Tanner and Sam really hustled to get us carted up and ready to play. The snack counter attendant and Starter that day were great and genuinely hospitable. Our experience with the East Course was excellent and it was in surprisingly good shape considering the recent heavy rains. The course is fun, picturesque and very fair to all levels of golfers. Our team meal that evening in the Grille Room was wonderful. We had a pre-arranged menu with the F&B Manager Heather Larche's help. Chris and Emma took great care of all of us that evening and the food was fresh and lots of it. The fisherman's platter was a big hit and the prime rib dinner was huge! This was a first trip for many of us and I have already been asked "when are we returning". Thank you also for the rainchecks and I know the ladies will plan to return to use them. So I’m not a golfer, but I am a foody! I came to eat at the clubhouse for dinner. Yummy food, root beer is fantastic. My new boy toy comes here to play golf a lot, he’s really good I think. He says the courses are in great shape! They did look very beautiful on the way in. Once me and my boys were eating outside at the clubhouse, and we saw this kid make a great shot from super far away! We like watching the golfers finish their rounds. Anyway, I told the kid’s mom that her son should join the NBA. She said he shot a 74, and that he had an outstanding round. Now I don’t know about you, but a 74 sounds really bad. It seems like it shouldn’t take you that many shots to go from the tee off thing to the green, but who knows lol!? Anyway, great views, food, and customer service! Love...
