I used to visit this park often for its beautiful nature and polite community. However today, after two years of not visiting, I had decided to visit as it is a nostalgic location for me. From just strolling on the grounds, suddenly my friend and I were verbally threatened and harassed by a security guard of tall stature ~large build, African American extraction. While walking with my friend she held a paper bag in her arm, he accused us of bringing food into the park. I politely thanked him for informing us of this rule but felt threatened that he accused my friend that she had food in her personal bag. He stated that he would be watching us and not after ten minutes of my friend and I conversing on a bench, he began to charge towards us yelling that he took a video of us eating even though we did no such thing. His behavior of saying that he filmed a video of my friend and I and threatening to take it to management, without our consent, as well as being verbally harassed as two young Asian women was extremely racially targeted and inappropriate. I will not be coming to this park again for its terrible management and I advise others to be careful of this individual in particular— he may intimidate women for no...
Read moreAlthough this is a beautiful place. The entity that owns this park should post everywhere that pictures are not allowed. There was a Karen that told us YOU CAN’T TAKE PICTURES HERE. We were at the park not near anyone’s property. Very rude. I appreciate the information but be educated about it. You are there to enjoy nature and that does not belong to anyone. If you want to have a memory by taking a picture and is not allowed is ok but have signs all over the park. This way no one feels like an intruder when you are just trying to enjoy a sunset like any human being. If you go there enjoy the park it is beautiful. Do not bring professional cameras or equipment. Chances are you may encounter crazy...
Read moreFound this park out by pure accident! A beautiful park with walking trails, a few gazebos and amazing water views, some parts of the park actually has a nice view of the NYC Skyline with the One World Trade Center and Co-Op City (usually visible on a clear day) Visited this park in February 2025 in 30 degree weather, but will definitely come back during the spring and summer months to see this park in its full potential when it’s warm out!
Only issue is the parking, there’s no said park parking lot, so you have to park on the street by people’s houses, there’s a lot of no parking anytime signs near the park so you may have to park a few blocks away and walk...
