Lantern walk visit was very nice. Enjoyed the music in the church. Volunteers were in period dress, friendly and generally provided historical information. Some did not know the dates buildings were made. One young female volunteer trying to get her outfit properly in order in the Sorenson House we thought was speaking inappropriately (mouthy) to the adult female volunteer. We even made comments that you would never speak like that back in the day. Comments she made gave the impression she really didn't care. Buildings were very nicely set up and decorated. Will definitely return during a milder weather season. Good...
Read moreWe visited the Pinecrest Village last weekend for the Thresheree and it was very nice, but seemed more "down sized" compared to other years. We really enjoyed other years when we could get a brat, hamburger, or hot dog in the octagon building with plenty of seating for people to eat. This year it was closed and the only thing to eat were boiled hot dogs (which they ran out of) and they were cold.. Only 2 picnic tables for people to sit. The cost was $26.00 for seniors too.. We really enjoy everything they do here, but they could improve on that. (there was a barbecue pork truck, if you like that, but again..no...

The tractor displays are watered down, not sure if fewer participate or if having the equipment scattered all over is the reason for that. Not many vendors to be seen. Back in the day my kids and I would attend the Thresheree for a few dollars. This year it was $10 per adult, and I was told none of that goes to the club. That's too bad. I probably won't attend that again, at least not for...
