Lock 20 State Canal Park — Attraction in Town of Marcy

I hate that this place is literally secluded and no security or guards there. So, if a woman or a young guy is walking a dog there, they can easily get harassed without nobody knowing about them. But it's a nice place to walk or jog in. The quantity of bugs there is insane, I really can't understand that the local gov can't arrange special trucks to spray! I have seen insecticide spraying trucks in many 3rd world...

It's even nicer here now that the prisoners are not there mowing and selling drugs anymore. There is a very nice canaller man who mows the park now....it looks like a golf course. ...I'm sure he's underpaid and under appreciated. I think his name is rivers or streams.....or maybe brooks? Anyway, it's a great place to visit and watch the boats go...

The park was right on the Erie Canal Trail, and it had plenty of picnic tables and charcoal grills. There were bike racks there was good tree cover for tents. It's a seasonal thing, but the mosquitoes were horrendous for our stay in early June. The place was fairly quiet. There was a non-potable water water hose for cleanup but no...
