I liked this school a lot and the campus was exceptionally beautiful. There is wildlife absolutely everywhere. I regularly saw deer, rabbits, ducks, and much more. It has a very New England vibe overall. Price is similar to other SUNYs, but I felt the quality of professors was much better than other SUNYs, particularly in the CS department. Professors are down-to-earth, approachable, and supportive. There's several new buildings on campus, hopefully with the rest remodeled eventually also. Highly recommend!!!

We attended today's men's lacrosse game and were VERY impressed with the Fieldhouse. It was nice to be able to watch the game from indoors. We were disappointed that the spectator outdoor seating was mostly still covered in deep snow.

Many things have changed since I attended, as it should. The campus is sprawling and the new residence halls and academic centers seem top notch.

This is not a good college. I regret applying to this school. I thought this school was going to be a good fit for me, but It was not. This school lacks support for students. I was first attracted to this school because of the low tuition as a state college and their location in suburban Utica, but boy was I wrong about this school. I decided not to attend the college after attending an on campus orientation for new graduate students. I recently went to their orientation on campus for new graduate students and it was awful. All the faculty and staff talked about the whole time was how they have caught online students cheating and the mechanism they have put in place in blackboad to catch students cheating such as plagiarism software such as Turnitin and Safeassign. They also talked about adding Respondus Lockdown Browser to blackboard during an exam and online proctors such as ProctorU. They appeared gleefully as they talked about catching students cheating and expelling them from the college. It seem as though they took it as some type of cat and mouse game they relish in. Another one of the presenters that was from career services name Sim J. Covington Jr was rude and belligerent and constantly promote himself, boasting, bragging, toot his horn and putting down the students. It was disgusting. He did not need to put students down to make himself look good. He kept saying I can't believe you people are graduate students and were accepted into the college. You people act like undergraduates. But meanwhile their infrastructure is dismal. They don't even have direct deposit for students financial aid refunds. They are still mailing checks out to students. Don't go to this school, go to a school where staff and faculty care about your success and have more of a positive impression of students and don't see students as a bunch of liars and cheats. The staff and faculty seem to have a low impression of students. The staff and faculty seem under paid and grudgeful and resentful...

I proudly graduated from this outstanding institution of higher education in December 2000! This college features exceptional engineering programs on a par with Clarkson, Syracuse University, US Military Academy at West Point, and many others!! I'm now taking graduate classes towards my Masters Degree due to the outstanding curriculum, and highly professional and knowledgeable faculty!! If you're looking for a great college with challenging courses, helpful professors, and a great social evironment...look no further than SUNY...

GREAT UNIVERSITY!! I completed my Master's degree, and I now work for the federal government. I don't give a damn what anyone else says!! SUNY Poly is a great institution of higher education! The professors are outstanding, the curriculum is outstanding, and the social life at SUNY Poly is very good as well! I'm extremely happy to call SUNY Polytechnic Institute my alma mater! Although, the college was called SUNY Institute of Technology when I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Business/Public Management back in 2000. ...
