The Kedem Winery — Attraction in Town of Marlborough

I made a stop here when my girlfriend and I were on a short vacation in Poughkeepsie. They don't do tours, but the tastings were free, and the woman who was working there was very friendly. I admitted that I am sort of a newbie to wine tasting and appreciation, so she did a great job of setting up a little tasting that covered quite a few different styles of wine and explained them to me. This is where I found one of my favorite Apple Mead wines. I like sweet wines not dry. I find that sometimes the sweet ones are a little to much sour for me. When my son was wine tasting here with his to be wife, I couldn't believe how much wine they had. So I had to join in. I love the atmosphere. It was also very quiet and it made for a nice afternoon.
