Hawkins Point Visitors Center — Attraction in Town of Massena

I loved my visit to the Hawkins Point Visitor Center! The exhibits do a great job of explaining how the power dam works, and the importance of it to the regional economy. Joey was the guide on duty, and he did very well answering questions and talking about the history of the project. They put a lot of effort into making this a really great attraction, so it was kind of sad to see that there was only one other person there besides the tour guide. Great place to stop and bring the kids. A few interactive electricity stations around the room, a theater where they show a building the seaway video and they do a ton of events during the year around the holidays including movies for the kids during the summer months on certain days. Great...

This was not as good as I remember from 12 years ago. While there is a good view and video about the power plant construction, the exhibits are in need of some TLC. More than one had a missing piece or button...
