The Skate Ranch — Attraction in Town of Menomonie

I was here with a group of people and outside of the place there’s stuff breaking, and once we walked in to the place, the smell and everybody almost puking. The air was so thick, and it was getting hard for some people to breathe, including myself this was for my brother‘s birthday And the staff was very weird and creepy and they made our pizzas with pasta sauce. Also, it was very unsanitary having the dog on the counters while in the cubbies to keep your stuff there was moldy soda cups. And rolled on the ceilings on the skating area, there were cracks in the floor and mold on the floor and in the corners of the area there was also bubbles in the floor, which had people tripping and falling. They did not allow us to have the hover board which they said was a safety hazard, but apparently having a dog on the skates with not a safety hazard not to mention all of the expired stuff they carried in the store. The claw machine was full with expired candy from two years ago, which the kids were constantly losing their money on, and they were also losing their money to the machines that were sucking it up and not giving them anything back all of the beers and adult drinks were also expired from like two years ago and had a case of expired drinks in the back they also did not have enough sizes in the skates for everybody to wear and in the boys and girls bathrooms, the boys bathroom had stuff falling off the walls and everything that got touched was falling apart, including a bathroom stall that was out of order and there was also a bunch of stuff in the other stalls In the girls bathroom, everybody refused to use it because of how nasty it was in the stench was unbearable also, we had to listen to the owners singing, which is not the best singing skills I’ve ever heard and we had to listen to two songs of it, and we also had to listen to her blab about her own life when we were just trying to enjoy the party if I had the choice, I would not even choose to write...

The kids had fun skating but the customer service was poor.

I brought two girls to skate for my daughter's birthday and one of the girls had brought a present. We were told at the door (in front of the girls) that if we did not book a birthday party, we were not allowed to open her gift inside - yes, the ONE gift. We had to go outside and in the car to open a present (-1 below mind you!).

We were "encouraged" to put all jackets into lockers, which was okay. However; when you have to pay a quarter each time to open/close the locker, it's redicules.

I was pretty disapointed with how we were treated since we simply did not book a $65+ birthday party package.

Update: we did not bring any food or cake, which I could understand not being allowed. It was one gift. Owner is comparing apples to oranges. We were not going back to our home for a party; the only spot to open the gift was in the car.

Just a heads up to those that want to have birthday parties here but don't want one planned...

My family just had a huge birthday party for a 10 year old at Vision Quest and it was absolutely amazing. Dan and Sharon are wonderful people, and great with kids and customer service, and the 2 young ladies that were working were just as great. There were 4 other parties there at the same time and we had no problems getting our food, drinks and other items we needed. They provided everything and did a wonderful job of it. I will definitely have more parties there and fully recommend...
