As we pulled into site 1 we said this location is why we bought our truck camper! We came here from Kansas City, looking for a canoeing outfitter in northern WI. Right next to our campsite is not only a canoe/kayak/tube put in, but 50 miles of paved bike trails! Chris, the owner, gave us suggestions on places to paddle including a time frame for distance and experience. On our 2 paddles we saw an eagle nest that weighed over 1 ton, loons, wild rice fields, & beaver huts. We planned our outings, so we could include an afternoon of cycling as well. We enjoyed our rides to our canoe put in’s with James. He provided us with paddling guidance as well as some history of the area. The lodge is beautiful and if you’re ever here on a rainy day, there are plenty of games, great books for all ages, and wine to keep some of us happy! Yes, it’s near a road, but no Jake break truck noise! Starry nights, campfires and everything people looking for a wilderness experience could ask for! Thank you , Chris and Renae. We’ll look forward to coming...

I can't say enough about how great of an experience we had with renting E-bikes from Rivers Edge! They had everything ready for us first thing in the morning and helped us coordinate packing a cooler on the bike trailer, too. We ended up taking a bachelor party from Manitowish Waters all the way to St. Germain. We last minute requested to keep the bikes overnight which they were very kind to accommodate and pick up next day. I highly recommend thisroute which has beautiful bridges, long wooded trail sections, a convenient swimming beach at North Trout Lake, and a perfect arsenal of restaurants and bars to take a break in (Dixies Coffee, Sayner Pub, 19th Hole, Blink Bonnies, etc.). I can't wait to do this again soon! Thanks...

This place is truly magical. They help you out whenever you need but also our guides let us figure some of it out on our own and that made the adventure challenging in a fun way! The staff were able to paddle to us quickly when we really needed help! Someone in our group had a tough time and Nancy got her through it like a champ! I'm a bigger person and struggled to get out of my kayak and Chris and one of the boys helped me out and were so patient and kind about it! They weren't kidding when they said they can get people of all abilities out there! I really recommend this place to anyone. It's perfect if you want to get out there but want some guidance. Also Grant is the best host! I'm sure the foreign exchange students won't...

Broke the seat collar on my Oddity coaster braked mtb. Needless to say, this is an odd choice of bike to ride at WinMin. And I would whole heartly agree with you my friend. However, this was all about adventure and celebrating the end of streak of bad luck. Oh, right the story. I hopped on this bike in the parking lot and snapped the seat collar. Game over, there's zero chance I can ride this bike. And then River's Edge saved the vacation by inviting me in to see if their spare parts drawer might have something. And ladies and gentlemen they did and my vacation is saved. And this is a rather epic review. I should make a YouTube video of this adventure!

We took a double kayak from the lodge to the first take out point (~1 hour downstream); we would have gone to the second (2-3 hours) but a storm was coming in. It was a great beginner route, the river views were stunning. The service was excellent, they had the boat ready to go at the launch, they picked us up at the take out point 5 minutes after we called for pickup. They also have a nice selection of craft beer at the lodge. We will definitely rent here again on our next trip.
