Nice trail near Margaretville ! There are 2 hikes: the little one is 45 minutes long while the longest is 1hour45. We did the longest one and it was really beautiful, though a bit icy because it was during winter. Why not 5 stars ? When I arrived at the lake, I struggle to find my way with the trail marks (tips: you have to go around the lake). And at the end when you arrive at the cemetery, I got lost because I could not find my way to parking lot. Maybe because it was snowy ? But otherwise, I would...

Beautiful winter hike, there are some fallen trees that you must hop over. Trail markers are plentiful and the terrain varies. Really nice to hear the sounds of the creek as you make the loop and there are options of a shorter or longer walk. Slight elevation. My partner has mobility issues and we just took it more slowly going downhill with rare icy spots. Took the concrete road 50" to get around the creek then finished the last 0.3 miles to the...

Very nice hike with varied terrain. Lots of streams/small waterfalls. Some expansive open vistas of a pond. Lots of little salamanders (newts) on the trail. IMPORTANT: Be sure to observe tick prevention - repellent, long pants/socks etc. People in our party observed a bunch on their pant legs.. Lovely hike overall and the place we came out by the road was next to a cemetery with less than 2 dozen stones with some dating to...
