The entrance to the park is on the other side of 88- not where the pin is on Google map. It is a lovely basic park. Mostly level trails with some slight change hight. You can reach the river in a 10-15 min walk.

Very peaceful place to go to connect with nature. Nice trails through fields and forest areas, with picnic tables and charcoal grills available. Free use of it all. Wonderful place!

We only hiked a short trail on one side of I88. It was okay but close to the interstate at some points. I believe if you hiked the trails on the other side it would be nice.

We were being followed around the park by a weird guy.

We pull into the parking lot, ready to go on a hike. Then we see this guy in a red Toyota Prius pull in. So we sit in the car for a second so then the guy can walk ahead of us, but he decides that he’s going to sit in his car for five mins. So we decide we’re going to start walking. We head down the first straight away and then the guy gets out of his car and starts walking. We notice this right away because his car door squeaked so loudly. Then we get around the first bend that goes towards the river and we sit there for a second. Then we see him walk around that same corner and come down towards the river. So then we decided to keep moving and goto the next trail off near the river. He continues to follow. We notice that he was itching all over his body and he walked like a drill sergeant. He was wearing And 1 gym shorts and orange graphic t-shirt and an orange hat. He had a bushy mustache and he had the Jeffery Dahmer style glasses on.

He continued to follow me all the way back to my car. It wasn’t a very...

At the entrance there are picnic tables and grills. There is a bathroom but there are only toilets, no sinks, toilet paper is sparse, and they look/smell as if they are minimally maintained. It's my only complaint so far. So if you go bring your own hand sanitizing supplies and a roll of toilet paper! There are several trails to choose from. Some very easy, others look like death traps even for experienced hikers! I personally recommend the Orange trail, it's the longest but it's flatter than most, with smaller hills, and the views are great. I saw a pair of herons, fish in the river, all kinds of insects. I will definitely be back to explore more, I'll go back just for the...

I walked in this park a lot last year; this was my first time there in 2021. They have not kept up the trails as well as they have in the past, and there were a few spots where I had to tiptoe through super shallow water. There are also some spots that go through high weeds, they are up to an adult chest, that could harbor ticks. With Lyme disease being such an issue right now, it would be nice to see someone whack that stuff down. Other than that, it was a nice walk and the wheat field was really beautiful. Like this review if you...
