Mississippi Thunder Speedway — Attraction in Town of Milton

I took 2 of my kids to this track, it was the first time for us. First we found out when we got to the ticket booth that they only take cash or check and have no ATM, so if I had not been carrying cash we would've had to go back to fountain City to use an ATM. Then we found out that they don't have much for bleachers and all we had were bleacher seat stuff, when we should have had lawn chairs, we also found out that the concessions are cash only too, good thing I had enough. We had to sit towards the bottom so the people in lawn chairs didn't block our view which was great until the bigger classes came out. When they went by the dirt and rubber was so bad we could hardly see, and we could literally watch it build up on our clothes. The races started at 7 and we left at midnight with 20 laps left of the feature race that was in progress but it was a caution every other lap and there was one more feature to go. First time ever at a dirt track race track, and I can not wait to come back again! The staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I could not have asked for a better first experience, well, minus the dust when the big boys were on the track kicking the dust up!

Come prepared to leave dirty! My wife and I will be bringing a couple of damp towels in a baggie just to wipe our faces off the next time we come. I would also recommend bringing clear safety glasses just to help protect your eyes from flying dirt, dust, and possibly debris. Make sure you bring your own lawn chair, they do have very nice bleachers, but I personally recommend my own chair.

Some of the best racing we have seen to date. The drivers seemed to act professionally and not act aggressively towards one another. The officials kept everything moving right along. Except for the re-watering of the track, the action never stopped once it began!

This place was awesome tonight had great racing and a fun experience also has a place for kid's along with good food and driver's have merchandise for sale. Always has great racing every Friday night and Saturday night.
