Camping here is great. The sites are large, clean and well kept. Privacy is good. There don't seem to be any raccoons, and mosquitos aren't bad. Park rangers are very polite and helpful. Fire rings are in very good condition and have excellent cooking grates on them. Fishing is good for small children. The big pond is very weedy, but teeming with bluegills that are too small to keep. It's hard to not catch them. The hiking trails are nice, but none are very long. They are fairly scenic, this part of the Kettle Moraine is very nice.

We camped over the weekend and had a good time. Cons: SO many ticks. Also the pit toilets all around the campground are horrifying. Dirty, smell disgusting. You can’t use them without gagging. Anytime we went to the bathroom we drove to the nice bathrooms near the beach. Hiking trails are more like walks in the grass. There aren’t actual trails. Pros: Nice fire pit, large grassy sites (not dirt or rocks), relatively quiet over Memorial Day weekend. Nice beach.

We have come here for years. Always a beautiful place to visit. Very nice camp sites, a swimming beach, and plenty of places to explore. There is a large dog park just to the west. My wife and I had our wedding party here! The picnic areas are nice with some having shelters.

Cut above your standard dog park...tons of space, walking trails, open fields and tall grass for your pup to run through. Large dog side has two huge, but somewhat separate sections connected by a bridge. There are lots of trees and even a small wooded area within the park itself. Keep in mind it's $5 and the fence has a somewhat large grate, although the fence appears to be in good condition and well maintained a smaller dog could fit through the fence, our #14 dog actually slipped through and this was on the small dog side. You just have to keep a close watch if you have a smaller dog. Lastly, the park appears to have some "regulars". The park is a bit of a drive for me so I only get there occasionally, however on most visits I see several of the same people and dogs. There have been a few occasions where the dog owners are chatting and laughing in a group and paying little attention to what their very huge dogs are up to. While their dogs are all familiar with one another they stick together in a small pack and approach any new comer; this can be very intimidating for a "new" dog. I understand this is how things can just go, unfortunately, when this happened to me and a friend of mine, the dog owners did nothing and then giggled about their dogs scaring off the new comer. My advice would be cautious on your first visit and consider keeping your dog on a leash until you've passed the main entrance. However, if you have a slightly older dog who is extremely well socialized it may...

This used to be my go to campground out of the three we frequent douseman, mukwonago, muskego. Mukwonago was by far my favorite douseman was a very close runner up but this year it really went down hill like it jumped skipped and hopped down hill smh the toilets are disgusting simply disgusting, smelly, dirty, unsanitary just plain nasty. The ticks are horrible ,the mosquitos are horrible the earwigs are horrible. The water to fill up the camper/rv was not functional, none of the sites were prepped or taken care of we stayed at a few different sites this year so far and not one of them were level even with our ramps, jacks, airbags etc we couldn't even get close to level we didn't have this problem last year so not sure what changed we have the same camper setup as last year etc. Also group sites went down completely due to electrical issue, the shower pressure was non existent and the shower rooms were just as disgusting as the bathrooms I don't know what happened but it something very apparently did would not recommend...

I've been coming to camp at this park for 30+ years. It's not even close to how it used to be. Prices are average and fair still. Camp sites are smaller now and are more in quantity. Still a very nice "beginners" camping outing. Growing up, my family used to get site 24 by the small parking lot for a Halloween camp out. We used to decorate the trees and carve pumpkins and hide bags of candy in the woods for the kids to find at night with flashlights. It was so much fun. The large cluster of trees that are in the middle of the campground had branches all the way to the ground. You couldn't see through to the other sites. Very closed off sites were nice. Now you can see clean through. It's still a decent park to camp at, but as a last resort option. I have a lot of fun memories of this park, but honestly it's not my first choice for a camping outing. They turned it into too much of a recreational/day park when it used to be just...
