The Eastern Terminus of the Ice Age Trail is quite a site to behold. Great views here! We've hiked a lot of the Ice Age Trail over the last few years, and seeing one end of it is well worth the trip.
I'm not sure what was on the concrete slab, but there must have been a building of some type here.
There is a small parking lot here and some picnic tables, but that's it. A shelter and a restroom (even just a porta-potti) would be welcomed additions. This could be a great spot for a picnic.
Worth visiting for the views and the hike.

You enter this part of ice age trail through the main entrance to Potawatomi State Park- there’s a $16 fee For out of state vehicles and $13 for WI residents.. well worth it! The trails (ice age trail, hemslock trail, and tower trail) are all well marked and maintained. This ice age segment has lots of incline, views of the water, shaded areas and is 3.1 miles - no loop. The Sturgeon Bay segment here is beautiful with Gorgeous Forest dirt trails and Cedar Grove throughout.
