If you go kayaking, the Hudson River is the place to be!
Each time I go out kayaking, it is only a matter of time before I get a major hit of Adrenaline, that is how serious this river is, when you are on it. No Joke! There are Ocean going freighters that travel to the Port of Albany, and they can produce waves 4' tall.
Please keep this in mind ALWAYS!
If you keep your eyes open, and can manage to put away your I-Phone, you will see some incredible beauty, that is Nature in all her glory! As well as some incredible History, that helped to build this great Nation.
Near the Warner House on Constitution Island, you will see a link from the chains that were set across the Hudson to keep the British from sailing to take the Port of Albany
The Hudson River is home to West Point, the Military Academy for the U.S. Army...
Also there is Bannerman's Island, home to the Bannerman's Arsenal...Be careful when you Kayak around this island, as there are many piers and pilings that live just below...
