Prairie Hawk Winery — Attraction in Town of New Haven

Quick drive from the Woodside Sports Complex and Chula Vista Resort. "Friendly" isn't a strong enough word for the owners and staff. They made us feel so welcomed and were genuinely happy that we were there. Prices were shockingly affordable and by-the-glass pours were generous. While the staff was very nice and attentive, and the live music and location were perfect, the wine…was not good. I have honestly never tasted anything like this before. Whatever it was, it was not wine to me. Either some tasted like rubbing alcohol or had a perfume aftertaste. Super friendly staff. Great wines and we really fell in love with their Cabernet Sauvignon. While we were at the winery last fall, we are just now enjoying a bottle of that Cab that we bought during our visit and WOW it is so good... made us realize we had not done a review and Prairie Hawk absolutely deserves a 5 star review.
