Sunset Lake Park — Attraction in Town of New Hope

Hours 6a-11p There's a nice little swimming beach, pit toilets, potable water (summer months only most likely), changing rooms, a small shelter and a few picnic tables with some charcoal grills. Nice spring fed lake with clean water. Gets busy during summer. There is a power outlet on the wall near water yard hydrant and in restroom buildings.

Water yard Hydrant is off sidewalk between buildings and lake. It's approximately 100' from closest parking space. Has a hose fitting but doesn't come out there so unclear if it is usable. May be jugs only.

There's trash and recycle dumpsters.

AT&T internet here isn't that great here with about 4Mb down and .2Mb up so usable for basic browsing but you won't wanna...

It was a peaceful beautiful green nature walk. There is a beach for swimming and bathrooms. It's a nice place to enjoy with family. But the downside is that pets are not allowed on the beach side. However, I think if you are a responsible dog owner and clean after them, people should not go out of their way and want to make a problem out of it. After all, dogs are like out children for those that don't...

Bad place to try and land your boat to fish, when temperatures are high as the people think the landing there's private swimming space. Portage county parks department needs to put signs they say boatlanding parking only Parking your vehicle and boat trailer on main road is a bad situation, which is just asking for accident to happen, with a possible fatality. Hope not. Definitely NEEDS...
