Outstanding place to visit - gorgeous scenery. Wonderfully peaceful place to go enjoy the out doors. Went there for a hike and was not disappointed at the beauty everywhere. I live nearby, so I frequent this location. Pictures attached to this review are from the most recent visits. Highly recommend!!!

Hard to find spot, but worth the search. Beuatiful tree-lined water source. Great for kayaking, or just taking a moment to breathe. One of the must see places of Western New York.

A beautiful place for a hike. One can view and photograph plenty of birds. I would also recommend visiting the place after nightfall.

Definitely no qual put here I live 200 feet from bog. No.woods.better anyone..good deer if u do your home work.bear also ,night coyotes hunts are awesome take down as many as possible they kill baby deer leave half deer. Red and gray squeal hunting. Pheasants are let go ever October. Grouse..hanging bog on new hudson rd is the only real bog in the 15000 acres..it's were ice carved out into mountain and stopped melted at bog. In 1950 army family up sides before it dry up..only 3 feet water but scientist sent sonar down 10 miles in mudd never hit bottom...that's pretty cool anyone wants some schooling..first person hit oil in baliver ny owned 500 acres writ across street from me the man's property went from new hudson up over mountaintop crab hollow rd..I know every section these woods. I own 40 acres of the first farm from anywhere around here 1807 Morris farm 190 Acres..we have rd front were the original farm house was 3 caddle barns 1 horse barn and blacksmith shop barn which is still standing barn was built before house 1799,,were putting up new barn now then taken old barn down by hand sell wood. I love it here my land hanging bog, crab hollow we own this property sin 1995 the 3 story farm house was still on land..had burn it foundation was destroyed..but we have the only natural 4 acre pond spring fed 20 feet deep. We have no run off filling our pond we have creek that keeps water level from coming over side. Oil pioneers farmes are still separated by perfectly built field stone walls that are perfect straight up mountain over the other side. Old water wells. I found alot but everything I find I leave to land lots lots ginseng plant roots. Noone knows we're they are. But I do found patch when I was 14 years old...

I love the outdoors. There is about 4500 acres to roam around. Wildlife galore. Turkeys, deer, big snapping turtles, and an unending supply of birds and waterfowl. There is about 10 or so campsites also. All unimproved but accessible by car. It is a wildlife management area so there are regulations. Check with the DEC for more information about...
