Worth every penny. My daughter wanted to do this for her 14th birthday so we headed there yesterday and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. Highly recommend. If you’re fortunate enough to have Zi as your guide then you’ve truly lucked out - he’s sweet, funny, energetic, down to earth, safety-focused, and helpful. At more than one point during the course he hopped on himself to help both our group and members from other groups navigate the more challenging parts of the course. Even though there were several participants on the course at the same time, he did a phenomenal job of keeping a pulse on each and every person. Every staff member we encountered was so kind and helpful. We arrived back to our vehicle to find that we had a flat tire, and they very kindly charged my phone, which was just about dead, so that I could call roadside assistance. They offered to connect us to WiFi in case the connection wasn’t strong enough to open a claim on my app, and they came by several times to check on us and see if there was anything they could do to help. Just really, genuinely kind and helpful people. We will share our awesome experience at every opportunity, and we will definitely look forward...

The adult course is pricey but the unique experience and thrill is worth it. The safety tether system is well designed. Pay heed to the height requirements; we had an athletic kid who was barely an inch over the minimum for the adult course, but the overhead reach was just a bit of a stretch for him. He finished it successfully but it wasn't comfortable.

The kids course is priced well but, having been on the adult course that had more interesting challenges, the kids course looked a bit repetitive. Also the 'ball-line' instead of a traditional zipline is very awkward, especially for taller kids. One of our 10-year-olds who was otherwise doing fine on the course slipped off the ball while awkwardly trying to mount it (she's 5'1" tall), and then she had to be 'rescued'. While the tether system held her securely (yay), the rescue process was unnecessarily tedious (nay). To add insult to injury, they said she couldn't restart the course even though she had only done 4 of the challenges and her ticket included two times around the entire course. The staff was probably just quoting policy, but it just seemed unfair.

Overall though, good courses and good staff....

WildPlay Thacher has three standard aerial obstacle courses, as well as a jr. course, extreme course, and a few other adventure-based activities. I love the location up in Thacher Park and it's very cool to be navigating yourself high above the trees in a peaceful forest. I only did the standard courses, but they were fun! There's a large variety of obstacles including zip lines, bridges, swaying platforms, tightropes, and much more! Most of the obstacles were relatively easy to navigate, but some of the obstacles on the second and third courses were rather challenging. Also as you progress through the courses you start getting higher above the ground, meaning this isn't meant for those afraid of heights. Some parts felt slightly repetitive and the ziplines weren't the greatest I've been on, but those who love adventure should find themselves having fun at WildPlay Thacher. Also, the staff was super friendly and helpful, we finished the main courses in just over 2hrs, and for a better experience I recommend going with a few...

My kids went through the easiest level course. They loved it. Especially the first round, until they get comfortable, was little slow but then it was a smooth experience. I loved how secure the whole experience was. The guides explain what to do before you go up there. And once you go up there you and secured with wires so even if you don't do well, you are protected. If you got stuck at any point they help you. If you fall they guide you how to get back on track. So it's cool. We didn't have picnic there but it's an option available for guests. Overall kids had fun and enjoyed the time they spent up there.

Interesting place. Brought kids there. The older one loved the classic and extream obstacle courses. Looked fun to do for adults as well. Zip lines looked like a lot of fun. The younger one could not yet go on classic and had to be on the kids one, that he was not too impressed with. If you are not doing the course and just walking the trail underneath, I would recommend to consider a bug spray. Lots of mosquitoes. It is pretty high priced. Set me down $75 for just 2 kids tickets.
