Little tree is a perfect example of a small business you WANT to patronize. First, they are low spray! While this produces some small and spotted apples, it also means that the number one most heavily polluted crop is available right here, locally, without all the residue. And, they taste great!

Read morePicked apples here a couple of weeks ago, the place is cute and the picking was fun, also the cider donuts were pretty good. This said, while I know and appreciate that this orchard is low spray - which translates in small and mostly imperfect apples, fine - many many of the apples I picked had brown insect spots inside which lead me to throw more of them then I would have wanted. Last but not least: tastewise I wasn't too impressed with most of the apples I picked there...

The donuts and cider are the best around, and the orchard has these carefully mowed paths through it, with signs so you can’t get lost, that make for just a perfect fall day. We grabbed some cider and donuts and took a long walk and took in the sights. There are little benches (and gnomes!) throughout the orchard to stop for cider breaks...
