W&J Awald Farms Inc. Pumpkins, Corn maze, Christmas trees, Nursery stock — Attraction in Town of North Collins

I love taking my family here, I have been since my daughter was a year old. It's beautiful and a nice escape from the huge pumpkin farm with tons of people. However, I don't think I will be returning again due solely to the attitudes of the employees. I wouldn't have minded the price if the environment matched. Their vibes literally ruined my day and had me trying to relax myself as we left. The only nice interaction I had was with the lady who cashed us out in the game barn. The lady running the games was extremely rude. She snatched things from my kids as soon as the game was done and was not kid friendly what so ever. I'm not sure why they put her there. The girls in the snack barn were rude and didn't want to take the time to explain what they had left. They wouldn't make cotton candy for paying customers at 3 p.m., the middle of their day. The games were extremely overpriced, which is probably why nobody else was in there. The pumpkins were overpriced, considering we walked around the patch & picked them ourselves. This place is gorgeous. Perfect place for a family outing to pick pumpkins. There are several fun places to take pictures with kids and with the family. We have a picture taken every year. The staff is very friendly. It wasn’t too crowded. And they have various shapes and colors and types of pumpkins. I personally got a very large, orange, pumpkin and smaller, orange pumpkin, a yellow pumpkin, a couple of white pumpkins, and several small orange pumpkins. Plenty of parking available. A nice place for families. Pumpkins are overpriced and they certainly appear to over charge (they have a bench showing the size Pumpkins and the cost for u pick, but in my opinion charge a size up). Asked about smaller (approx softball size) Pumpkins in the u pick patch as they are much smaller than the smallest pumpkin on the price bench. Was told one price and then charged more after the kids had picked a bunch of them. They did allow me to return them, but no apology or attempt to explain.
