Technically a part of Taconic State Park. Swimming on weekends and holidays only. Grounds are well maintained. Camping spots are a good size, most have a deck to setup a tent.
Biggest gripe is with restrooms (I prefer to call a malaria test facility). The campsite has one restroom building with separate men and women's room. Men's has one urinal and as I recall two stalls. Hard to remember exactly as I had to keep trying to wave away the mousquitos. Bring insect repellent BEFORE entering the bathroom or shower building. Mosquito issue is day and night.
Showers are located at the very enterance to the campsite. Two shower stalls. Warm water at most. Mosquitos are not AS bad in this building, but you will still need repellent.
