Dix Mountain Trailhead — Attraction in Town of North Hudson

Hiked a loop over five 4K summits from this trailhead. Get here early because the capacity is small and the overflow lot adds two miles to your journey in both directions. I hiked the loop in counter clockwise direction summitting Macomb Mountain, Grace Peak, South Dix, Hough Peak, and finally Dix Mountain. Great trails with some of the better views in the High Peaks. The trailhead is near the end of a long dirt road that was very bumpy, but well-worn and plenty wide. Public parking at the trailhead is limited and fills up quickly on the weekends.
