1st time here. Fun well laid out place for family fun but beware of misleading pumpkin pricing information. As we paid admission we asked about going out to the pumpkin patch to pick our pumpkins and how much are the pumpkins when we do that and if they capped the price once they got larger in size. They said they price by size. They pointed at different sized wire rings and said that was how they were priced. So we went over to the rings and noticed the most expensive pumpkin would be 10 dollars if it didn't fit in a ring. We took the wagon ride out to the field and my children picked out their pumpkins. They took pictures of them before they picked them and were very excited to have found the perfect ones. My daughter picked out a large pumpkin. Definitely one of the bigger ones out in the field. My son picked out an average looking one. We loaded them on wagon and they took us back to pay for them. The woman looked at them without using any wire rings and said it would be $35 for 2 pumpkins. I replied with we were told you price off the rings. She said not for giant pumpkins. I said these aren't giant pumpkins we got these from the field like everyone else. She said the one pumpkin was 20 and the other was 15. I wasn't going to argue about it and not get them after my kids just spent the last 15 minutes excited about what they were going to do with them. I paid the money however felt ripped off and lied to. I know my sons pumpkin was under the largest ring size. My daughters was over but according to the employee that directed us to the rings and the sign on the rings that said 10 dollars for those pumpkins. If i would have been given this information up front i would not be upset about it. Hopefully my review will help others be aware of this information and if you are on a budget be able to make a decision without possibly having to put a pumpkin back if you cant spend that much. Otherwise the activities and experience was great and I would reccomend going if looking for an activity type...
Read moreLoved the venue. We held our wedding here and it was great! Owners were very nice. However, they nickel and dime you for everything! Seating for the wedding ceremony costs extra ($5 a bench), petting zoo food cost extra. Potatoes for the potato launcher cost extra. We weren't allowed to bring our own potatoes and had to pay $1 for 3 potatoes when you can buy a 10 lb bag at Wal-Mart for $3. Toilet trailer cost extra. Smores bar cost extra. Nothing was cheaply priced either considering the amount you pay to use the venue. These are things that were not explained before we signed our contract. We ended up paying an additional $1400 for basic things needed to hold a wedding/reception and to use the activities provided on top of the venue rental cost that was $6000. If you have a Saturday wedding (like we did) you can't reasonably do reheral on Fri if they have another wedding. All set up has to be done day of. This caused us to run late as we couldn't get into venue until 8 AM day of. Reception had to be shut down, packed up, and cleanded by midnight.
*Also the Holiday Inn Express is the only hotel this venue coordinates with and they are HORRIBLE!!! Overpriced rooms, don't give bride/groom any deals stating they are the only hotel in town so they don't have too.
Great atmosphere but overpriced when you add up all the extras they require you to pay in order to fully use the property and activities that are "included". Our wedding was great but in hind sight not worth the money we spent...
Read moreBarn animals appear highly mistreated and unprotected. Kittens barely a month old were being juggled around and nearly stepped on by oblivious toddlers. The staff is composed of almost exclusively 13 year olds who probably dont have the confidence or reason to prevent a dangerous situation before it happens. I picked up a baby kitten hardly a month old. It was freezing so I held it close to me and warmed it up. Within minutes it fell alseep in my arms and I asked the only employee with seemingly any awareness of this malpractice to take the kitten back to its mother or at least somewhere warm. I'm a grown man and it made me emotional seeing these literal babies treated this way. Its not even akin to survival in the wild. At least in the wild the kittens would have their mother protecting them. If I didnt have a antisocial cat at home I would have adopted it simply to get it out. Real farm owners respect their animals, not...
