Although it was a cold rainy overcast day we still had fun. We didn’t go to the island but saw it from land and on our way to Bolt Castle. I would highly recommend a trip to Bolt Castle if you are anywhere near this lighthouse an easy trip on a broad take you to the island we bought the combo ticket on line so it was easy and no hassles. Although when we got there there wasn’t any lines and no crowds because it was cold and rainy. But that worked out to our advantage Tickets are same price on line as in person but in the better weather I’d get tickets in advance. The combo ticket doesn’t include the ride to the castle but it does gets you another boat ride to the boat house and back to the castle. The boats run every 30 minutes so you never wating long to go to the island or return the boat running to the boat house runs every 10-15 minutes and is about a...

Beautiful place, meticulously maintained. We had a great tour and learned all about the history of the lighthouse. The Park guide spotted a freighter coming and encouraged us to go to the top of the lighthouse to watch it pass by. That was so cool! Nice gift shop with souvenirs and snacks. All for $3 per person. We dilly-dallied around for a bit; we didn’t want to leave! Highly...
