St Lawrence Pottery — Attraction in Town of Orleans

This is a hidden gem near Clayton, NY! The pottery is fabulous & Sarah, one of the artists, was more than accommodating on both of our visits. Friendly, entertaining & informative! If you're looking for a piece to commemorate your visit to the St. Lawrence Seaway or the Thousand Islands area, this is the place to visit. Much of the pottery depicts scenes of lighthouses, the river, natural aspects of the area, nautical and more. The pottery is extremely well made and all high fired, perfect for food and your oven, too. I love pottery & I wish we didn't live so far away. This place has neat, hand made Items. You won't find cheap Chinese made and overpriced tourist Junk. All made and painted by hand. You will pay more but you get the quality. Their stuff makes nice gifts as well. While it would cost more and take a couple weeks to complete, you can order custom made personalized Items.
