Emerson Park — Attraction in Town of Owasco

To describe this park as having a "swimming area" is misleading at best. The water barely covered my knees at the deepest point, and I am less than 5 feet 5 inches tall. I suppose it's O.K. for small children to splash around, but it was a sad disappointment to me and several other adults who happened to be visiting for the first time and hoping for a refreshing swim. I was told that this entire section of the late is quite shallow, but the municipality should consider some dredging to create an area that would be reasonable for adult swimming. After all, there are no other public beaches on the lake. Otherwise, the park is very nice, with beautiful walking paths, lake views, and covered seating areas. If there was a concession stand, or even some vending machines, I could not find them, but a roadside convenience store is a short walk away for someone looking for a cold...

Our wedding was last week (July 2nd) and I can't say enough about Emerson Park.

Our coordinator, Andrea, was so great to work with through the whole planning process. She followed up almost immediately with any questions we had, offered her advice and guidance, and overall made sure that everything ran smoothly on the day of our wedding.

Not only was Andrea great, the whole staff that night was just amazing. Everyone complimented the waitstaff on their professionalism (and my waitress, Kat, spoiled us all night by refreshing our drinks and helping me with my plate....just an added plus to the level of service :) ). The food was fantastic, too!

Everything was just perfect. We are so happy that we choose Emerson Park. It was such a beautiful spot!

5 star for me my son came from out of town had a great time disk golf went to the museum went out kayaking walked a over both sides of park both sides of the pear also did some fishing had a cook out using their grills and pavilions just please take home what u bring in if u have a boat they do have boat ramps to put in take it out they also have the play house we're they have many acting shows and fun also thinking of getting married or a in side reunions they have a high building that would serve u well they also cook and serve their as well their is also a dog. Park u can us to have fun playing with your dog with no leash they have a fence that u can use on your own or be authers in a Hugh are love the place security and maintness and office people are very gooood people o ya a small...
