We have been going for years. Even though its a little bit hokey at times, it seemed to be something the children enjoyed. Its changed a lot now. Before we left to go we googled Jackson Pumpkin Farm hours of operation, and 8AM–6PM Jackson's Pumpkin Farm, Saturday hours is what showed on the sight. When we got there, the sign on the side of the road states 9am- 6pm plain and simple in big black letters on a white sign. We had 4 children with us and upon entering we noted that everything required one or more tickets. So, off to the ticket booth, I purchased 20 for $25. We were told, before we paid our tickets to the animal attendant that we could get in to pet the goats and get to the ' closer fence' by the ponies. so we paid. Story changed, no go with the ponies. Lots of crying. The hill was a muddy mess but as usual, unavoidable. Small odd things for small children to do and play on for tickets. Its a very, very small area. All of the sudden at 530 pm they were closing and I was completely perplexed standing there with a handful of tickets. Ticket booth was closed, so I asked to talk to Mr. Jackson. I explained that the website said they closed at 6pm and because of this i over spent on ticket. Well, instead of being the nice guy I always pictured him to be, he choose the other route and basically called me a liar and said that he does the website himself and it does NOT say that. ( please google it yourself. ) Somewhere in small print, its says activities close at 530 pm but you have to sit and read the whole page and the sign out in front of the farm on the road still says 6PM)) He refused to help me out. Like it would have killed him. It was a beautiful Saturday and there were hardly any people there. And i pondered this on the way home....quite possibly Mr. Jacksons business isn't doing that well and he NEEDS the money more then 4 little kids do. I have a brain disease and get very little money every month but i try to do for my grand kids, thats very important to me. So, It was important to me that the money didn't get wasted. He has the tickets for another family, I hope he follows thru with my request. We wont be returning...
Read moreI recommend waiting till the weekend as most of their activities are only open for use on the weekends they have the gift shop area that's open they have all the outdoor exhibits but you can't do the maze or the hayride or anything like that on weekdays and they definitely are intercepting the customers that probably otherwise would be going to iron cuddle mainly for that reason and then once they stop they find out once it's too late and rather they come back again or go to iron kettle or do what they do who knows I in my family hung out for about an hour and a half got some food let my daughter plan and put little play area and run around with some kids and then we headed out just called it a day it was a weekday after work so but nonetheless I got some goodies to bring home for snacks for the next few nights and a couple gifts for somebody so all in all my daughter had a blast even though it wasn't full experience and you know the prices are decent enough and the folks are friendly so I remember many years ago when it wasn't not even a quarter of what they have there now so they're definitely growing year by year which I love to see anywhere but especially in...
Read moreIt would have been fun if everything was running and operational. In my opinion, they were not ready to open on opening weekend. They also changed the age limit on everything, so my almost 2 year old - the only thing he could do was the hay ride and feed the goats. They have a lot of fun looking bouncy houses and obstacle courses, but you need to be 8 years old. So my almost 5 year old was very sad to discover she couldnt do any of them. I understand insurance and wanting to cover yourself, but when we can go to bouncing monkeys or kidz kingdom and bounce it doesn't make a lot of sense.
My almost 2 year old couldnt even go in the grain pen to play in the corn... not even with an adult. Have adults fill out a waiver like everywhere else and let the kids play. We were disappointed...
