A Wonderful place for all, I love it here and have made many beautiful photos. On the weekends you must pay for parking. Once here you will find plenty of solitude. Plenty of open space gorgeous gardens of all kinds wonderful pathways with comfortable benches. Get ready to spend a glorious day sitting on one of the expansive lawns. If horticulture your thing all the plants trees and flowers are labeled. No matter the season you’ll appreciate the uniqueness of this place being completely surrounded by manicured landscapes with the sense of being in a natural wildernesses. Their are many beautiful greenhouses to wander through also. For me it’s like a home away from home the grounds part of the Coe estate. At different times the public is also able to go on a self guided tour our a guided tour with a guide who will tell of the wonderful history of the Coe family. Living in the 1920s Long Island. The abundance of activities are here range from concerts and wedding photography to earth day festivals and group programs to a greenhouse classroom. And you can also volunteer here a a Gardner. It truly is a privilege to experience the beautiful of Plantings Fields Arboretum in Oyster Bay. It will always be in my memories as a happy place.

I was blown away at how beautiful this place is! I would bring a picnic next time I go but walking the gardens was amazing. We went with someone who had a N.Y. parks pass so it was free to go. We paid extra, did the mansion tour and loved how the guide provided us with insight on the history. It was really cool to learn about the family and how the they would have lived for their few weeks a year on the property. Bring water and a hat if you go besides sunscreen or anything you need to be outside during the day on the island.

Just for a small price for parking, you get to experience a unique space that was built with great care. We have visited the Planting Fields Foundation multiple times, we walk to different parts of the property and always make new discoveries. To say that this area is a hidden gem is an understatement
