Theodore Roosevelt Sanctuary and Audubon Center — Attraction in Town of Oyster Bay

The Theodore Roosevelt Sanctuary is such a peaceful place to go for a walk and get some fresh air. I visited after work when the sanctuary was (practically) empty. The trails aren't too strenuous, they actually merge into each other during some points and all end back at the main entrance. There are a lot of recreational areas with benches and seating throughout the space.

My favorite place was the frog pond that is located towards the beginning of the trail. It was fun looking for frogs, and hearing them squeak as they dove into the water. The little frog statue is surely not something you want to miss!

It was a very educational place for historical bug like myself there was a lot of things that was very educational to me and very informative I highly recommend parents to take their children there to get them some history that they don't get in the books and the Beautiful grounds that the scenery with awesome and everything was nearby from as soon as you go into the town of Oyster Bay and you see the statue of Teddy Roosevelt on his horse all the way to his house and Farm and then you go down to the grounds and you find extension every and his gravesite I highly recommend people to go there and take the tour it was very interested and very inexpensive and it's...

A great Audubon sanctuary for birds,Learn, see and understand about nature, A wonderful experience for children. Take a peaceful walk and see birds and unplug. There is building that holds a lot of nature related stuff.nearby. . It is also the first National Audubon bird sanctuary. Plenty of parking in the nearby parking lot. The location is not easily seen from the main road, parking is located at the cemetery where the gravesite of Theodore Roosevelt is.
