As an advid hiker I would not say this is an easy hike. It was steep, lots of rocks, pretty consistent, and not for everyone. The view was amazing but I know many other mountains to get the same if not better views. I am being entirely honest here, I've been in Many firetowers and I did not feel safe in this one. Would I hike this again? No. One and done. I'm leaving a review because I believe some of the other reviews are not as truthful. I was expecting an "easier" 1 mile hike. I am in moderate shape, been hiking my whole life, this was one of the most strenuous steeper hikes I've done. The bugs were bad, the rocks were a little difficult at times, and to climb all that way to spend maybe five minutes in the tower I'm not sure I can say it's worth it. I climbed Coney Mountain, which is right next to it and that is not an easy hike. I ran into a bobcat there and I would take that mountain again, with the bobcat!, over this one. Way better views and a much more rewarding hike. I hope this helps, hope I save you some time, I hope I made it easier to decide what mountain you actually...

The sign points to the lot and says on it 'PARKING AREA' Upon entering the parking lot, there are two handicap parking signs, with a 'NO PARKING' sign between them. So one would think that we leave that spot open for the correct people to park in. Instead, everyone parked on the side of the road instead of the lot that can hold all of their cars... there were about 4-7 on the road and the lot could have easily held 10, and new vehicles arrived that also didn't enter the lot... We parked in the lot, where the trailhead sign pointed to as the designated parking. I don't know what's up with the other signs, but I believe they only pertain to the area directly in front of them, not the entire lot. You don't need to park on the road if the parking lot is completely empty...
The trailhead was nice though. Many posters and informative things hanging. Hike was...
