I decided to hike this trail early on a Saturday morning around 745. I was the only one on the trail, and I absolutely loved it. I opted for the red path instead of the blue, and it was definitely rocky and steep, but only for about 10-15 mins. It was all worth it to be able to climb to the top of that fire tower and take in that beautiful view. In total, the hike took me about an hour. I would highly...

Blink and you might miss the parking area -- it is not well marked, and the trailhead itself is also not very well marked. The trail itself is not particularly scenic in the opening half of the ascent; the fire tower itself is impressive though. This is more of a forest trail than, say, Woodstock's Overlook Mountain (which is more of a gravel trail leading to some...

Great hike & heart pumping. All uphill with rock scrambling to get to tower. We took the blue trail back down, not as steep. Many muddy spots, hey it's April & expected. Fantastic views from the tower. I only climbed 3 of the flights on the tower, just to see above the treeline. If it wasn't so windy I would have...

A good spot to go when you're quarantined and just want to get out of the house. The parking lot is across the street from the trailhead but it fills up fast and can only accommodate 10-13 cars, get there early. The hike takes less than an hour if you're in decent shape. It's fairly steep but not all that challenging.
