I have been skiing at Pineridge for decades. First with middle school students doing a Friday afternoon ski program, later on my own, and for the last 20 years, with my kids. Cross country skiing is a great way to be out in nature, and a great form of exercise. It is something most people who walk stably can do-you don't have to be a world class athlete, though there's room for amazing fast skiers who enjoy hills and curves at Pineridge too! It has been wonderful having my kids grow into excellent skiers at Pineridge over the years. So many proud parent moments over the years when they learned a new skill or tried a new trail, and so wonderful when they all started going out on the trails together (without me!) around 7, 9, and 11. The well groomed trails and cozy lodge to return to make skiing at Pineridge a joy. (The kids also rented skis when their boot sizes were constantly changing, so that is a helpful service too.) Read moreIt was so much fun. I have never skied before so for this 68 year old grandma to go with the GirkScouts I was a little scared. I fell a"million" times but had some good laughs getting up. Twice my son in law just came from behind and stood me up. I wasn't expecting hills on a beginner course. All in all it was a fantastic experience. Will definately go again!!!!...
