Today 1/10/2018, my fiance and I were gambling at Nekoosa as we have been for the last 17 years, 1-2 times a week. Again today, i was approched by an employee about having my beverage on the machine. I found out after the first encounter his name is Lee. He came up to me. said "You can't have drinks on the machines. so as I turned to hand him my cup to throw away, he said..."I don't want that", but yet in his hand was another cup that was left behind by another customer. I had told him that I was told by floor staff and cleaners that having beverages on the machine was alright, there were no rules against it. he replied that he was telling me to get it off the machine, I then asked him...Well who are you and what do you do here? He said he was the person who ordered the machines, then he walked away...Now, I was told after the first incident with him, he has no right coming on the floor and talking to customers about where or where not their beverages go. So today, after this encounter, I got up, cashed out my machine, found my fiance, out we went. On the ride back to Marshfield we decided a call to a manager of some sort was in order. We called, and our first contact was a security person. I explained the situation, and he said we had to fill out a Customer Complaint form. My fiance asked him how we get one, and the security man said...You have to come and get one...My fiance said, We won't be coming...and the security man cut him off and said ...problem solved. You see, we were not coming for another week, but the security man cut off my fiance's sentence. I really hope that this treatment is not repeated to other customers. Policies, whatever they are, should triclkle down so all staff are aware of what they are.. So my question to management was...What is the policy reguarding this issue, but as the situation turned out...After today, it doesn't matter,...
Read moreHalloween costume contest was a joke. Rigged rigged rigged!!! If you think because they give away good money and prizes that if you put together a costume that's weeks and weeks and hours and hours of actual creativity and requires some natural talent and skill to put together, that you'll be judged fairly against others with similar talent, creativity, and skill, FORGET ABOUT IT!! several people dressed like the main characters if the wizard of oz(gone wrong) and not the witch either, very lazy easily thrown together outfits of tin man, lion, scarecrow and dorothy who was the only character that took effort and tried to be scary. That won 1st place for scariest costume. 2nd was pennywise the clown, 3rd some tall black woman looking sort of like a medicine woman, not a lot for detail. ENOUGH SAID!! They only put pics of the winners so you can't see the competition and figure out for yourself they are unfair. I guess that's why only like 156 people showed up. Must be known as a rigged contest. Employee judges is always unfair. Over 50% left before judging, to go gamble. . People who won money knew each other, in fact several explained that they are regulars at the casino, and they do the contest every year. Places wonder why no one shows for these things. Seems impossible to find fair halloween contests. it's all about getting there money back from regulars. Also, the smoking...
Read moreI was hoping to give this place a better review but alas I cannot. They just upgraded their systems and to me that meant tightening the machines. To hit anything out there you'd better be ready to spend the money. I go out once a week for a break and when I do I walk through (when jackpots are hit) to see what people are spending. 9 out of 10 times the person playing is spending $5/spin or more. Now with that kind of money going in you'd think the jackpot would resemble the bet, but they don't. Jackpots (not on weekends) are usually around $1200 - $1600, much smaller then one would expect considering the bet.
BUT my biggest problem with this casino is there is NO COAT CHECK....!!!!!!!! What the he!! is with that...? They removed all of the equipment in the front that was used for coat checking, now there is nothing....!!!! So you go out during the winter and you either leave your jacket in the car, carry it with you or wear it the whole time you are in the casino. WOW ISN'T THAT ENJOYABLE....!!!!! Lets not forget the valet that is no longer there. The light is lite up bright, but no valet. Oh, and let me not forget that the small eatery there closes very early so if your going for supper it had better be by 5 or your out of luck, but the bar is open...!!! What will they take away next...???? I suppose I should be carefull, they might make the change to PAY...
