This is a decent area park, with options depending on the season. There's a great playground for kids, with a structure for smaller/younger kids, and a more challenging climbing structure for older kids. There's a huge open field for bird watching, trails for hiking, and seasonally, a free splash pad for kids. My son loves coming here in all seasons, and although there's no fencing, there's a divider between the parking lot and the grassy area. The playground is far enough away from the parking lot. Pay attention to signs for the park closing as they will often drive around prior to closing and announce the time as they state the gates close at 5. Overall, it's a good area park, although sometimes it's ruined by inconsiderate patrons (smoking, loud radios playing music). It's not my favorite area park as a result but it's a nice option since it's...

One of the best parks I've been to in the Hudson valley. There are a wide variety of play structures for different ages and also activities like hiking/walking/bird watching etc. It has a scenic view of the Hudson river, where trains go by often ( which the kids usually love) It is dog friendly if they are leashed. There are lots of pavilions available to rent, and plenty of benches and picnic tables in the shade. There are lots of garbage, recycling bins and water fountains. The different play areas have sand, mulch or rubber mat landing zones. There is a water play station with sprinklers for the summer. The bathrooms are kept fairly clean. There is plenty of parking and handicap parking available. There are bald eagel sightings very often since there is a nest right near the playground. Overall...

Recently on here, made a complaint about one of the maintenance workers harassing us. But what was done next was too far. The cops were called twice, the first time they told them we were sleeping here after hours which is a straight up lie, instead of the owner talking with us or having someone who wasn't aggressive talk with us. Who calls the police and files a false report before just talking to someone? Very unprofessional. I actually am hesitant to ever go back. I am homeless at the moment and allthat my family and I do is sit and enjoy the park until closing then we LEAVE. We aren't hurting anyone and it has been the safest place we've been too. But if this is the welcome we will get from the staff and management at this park, I'd rather get knifed in the village than come back to...

Always a wonderful, fun filled time at Bowdoin. Our boys absolutely love it there. Between the beautiful and clean playground, the baseball field, plenty of hiking and biking and running space you can spend the entire day and never get bored! The gorgeous panoramic views of the river, it’s a serene and relaxing place to go for the kids to play, for a place to gather your thoughts, get fresh air, paint/draw, find inspiration, write... the list goes on. There are even Eagles nests there, where you can watch the Resident Eagles fly from tree to tree. Spectacular place💯💯

I love this park been running in this park with friends regularly for over 10 years but lately the past 3 years has been changing. More people with dogs are coming in and not really picking up after their dogs and letting their dogs run unleashed all over the park. This is not a dog park (try Beacon NY I think they have one). Also, just heard how the park is being pimped out to NYC films. They destroyed some of the blue trail. People come here for exercise and to bird watch and the County Executive who is GOP is ruining the park. Please save the park.
