Cool state park, it's fairly small compared to others and there's no pool or options for swimming on site, but it's usually fairly quiet.
The campsites are the average size of most Wisconsin state parks, with a fair amount of hiking trails and picnic areas. Plus there's a very long stairway that goes up to a look out area with a spot to sit at the top. It's "303 steps" to the top however there's landings fairly often and a few benches to sit and rest on the way up and down.
The view is rather breathtaking especially during fog or sunrise / sunset but depending on overgrowth can be a bit skewed, but ultimately is worth the many stairs up, at least it's not as many as red rocks amphitheatre...
Read more303 steps isn't that bad total going up was like 10 to 12 mins. Give yourself time going up, the stairs go by quick. Total time spent at the peak probably like 20 mins for photos. Whole hour or so in total to hike from the parking spot and back.
The view itself is ok wouldn't say its worth the effort. Theres big trees blocking the view of the landscape. Id would sat visit during the fall for the best views to see the changing colors of the trees.
