Saratoga County Homestead — Attraction in Town of Providence

It's one of my favorite places. I've been visiting for decades! Since I was a little girl. Absolutely adore the old TBC homestead.

It is without a doubt haunted. There's an appartation of a woman who hangs out in left upper side in the back of the building. I've captured her image once, she was watching us. There I could see clearly a woman with longish hair, with her left arm crossed over her torso and her right hanging to her side. Her head turned to the right slightly. It was terrifying actually! Inside, some of those hallways are so thick on both sides with moss that you actually have to squeeze through, and rooms so dark that you feel blind. It's so quiet there that it chills one to the bone! It was very scary as a kid entering that place at night time even with groups of people it was always bone-chilling! I don't know why we would even do it so often.

If you are a paranormal investigator you will enjoy this place. The energy fields are wild! There's also a big room with a big stage where there's intense energy. I've also heard sounds like talking or humming, with a group of people on a tour, one time. I took one of the First tours when they started. In the beginning when they were still cleaning the building up, there where piles of people's belongings and hospital equipment everywhere. There used to be old wheelchairs, and old technology. Lot's of personal paperwork that used to belong to people..... old pictures and everything. And an alarming amount of mattresses..... pretty scary, man.

I’ve entered the building numerous times growing up, yet there was always a property manager next door keeping a close watch over the place. Now, new owner, they have tours once in a while. Gives an awesome opportunity to explore the place ‘legally’ and leisurely. 😅 there are multiple floors they allow you in on, all except the roof for structural reasons. Also a tunnel or basement hallway if I remember correctly that is off limits. Haunted Nights is the name of the group that held the tours. If you find and follow them on Facebook they have announced times and dates to purchase tickets for the tour. Some history is told through out the tour, along with some photos to show of comparison to how it ‘used to be’. (See photos I’ve posted to google maps). Awesome experience… I hope the new owner continues to plan more clean up, and find volunteers to help with this massive undertaking! I thought I'd purchased tickets to a ghost tour, but this day it was actually a photo tour - where we would listen to some of the history and then wander around to photograh different rooms. People did come with their own ghost-hunting instruments, so I think we all misunderstood the ticket info. Had a great time, regardless. And, it was legal entry, so I wasn't looking over my shoulder for trouble. I would love to go back for a hunt, think the place is...
