Hudson Pointe Nature Preserve is a great place to hike along the banks of the Hudson River. Altogether there are about three miles of trails here. The trails are wide, well marked, scenic, and easy to follow. There are many interpretive signs along the trails to help guide you along. Overall, none of the trails are very steep and this is a moderate hike with rewarding scenery. The “Green Trail” is probably the best of the trails to follow as it runs right alongside the banks of the Hudson. As you walk along the Hudson you can look across the river and see Moreau Lake State Park’s Big Bend Preserve hiking area. There are also many spots to fish along the trail. The “Blue Trail” also has some nice views and connects to another set of hiking trails owned by the Queensbury Land Conservancy. The other trails in the preserve are peaceful quiet walks in the woods. The parking lot has room for about 10 vehicles. Check the trail sign in the parking lot to choose your hiking route before you head in. Maps can also be found online. This hike offers a lot and you will not be disappointed here.

Really love it here! If you're looking for a short, scenic walk, Hudson Pointe is a great place to go. In a very short time you can walk to a series of great little footbridges with beautiful views of the water. The trails are easy to follow, well traveled and maintained. The preserve is dog-friendly but if you have a shy or nervous dog, be aware that while all the dogs I came across were well-behaved and friendly, none of them were leashed.

Beautiful views from the trail of Hudson river. Different habitats from forest with tall trees to Marshy regions. Boardwalk on Green trail gives a close view of nature. Went there in late September. We were able to see great blue heron, few turtles resting on a log in the marsh, woodpeckers, and blue Jays. The "you are here" trail map boards are not placed at correct locations, so just follow the marked trails.

The trail markers were good but the green trail was growing over and the bridges were washed out so it's 1 mile out and back not a 1.7 loop trail. The blue trail was very overgrown and difficult to maneuver with out bush whacking. They orange trail was well marked, and wide. Easy to follow. There are only about a dozen parking spots in this residential area but we had no issue parking a large pickup. For us traveling as visitors to the area the trail was easy to find, nice for an after work hike, well marked so even as it got dark you felt comfortable to complete the training without getting off track. We never get lost, we just sometimes have more adventure. Mark this as helpful or like and you can follow our adventures from Florida to Maine to Washington to...

Wonderful bit of land set aside by the town of Queensbury that has you walking in the woods near the Hudson River. You start out up on the Bluffs & have the option of going down to the river itself. There are a couple of miles worth of trails here & you can connect them with other Queensbury trail systems to give yourself a longer walk in the woods & to observe the birds & other wildlife. Options to go fishing by the bay or the river, the only signs I saw were no off leash dogs, no vehicles (atv's), no camping & no open fires. Great spot for a walk, a picnic & just to get into the forest without being too far away from anything. No restrooms however (maybe a portapotty during...
