Park on 16th st lot. When the path splits very early on trail take the left path. That leads to the bluff, outcrops and boulders! Make sure once you take trail up bluff to go up to to left again to get on top of bluff for amazing views! OTHERWISE Path to the right of fork is definitely overgrown but it leads to a cut through in the bluff trail splits two small outcrops and then path wraps(to the left) on backside of bluff and then you can come up backside of bluff to lookout! This path seems never ending but it’s just a much longer way to what is considered “Quincy Bluff”. This place offers a number of different biomes in close proximity, which is unique! The views, rocky outcrops, and boulders are really cool! Also came across some interesting fungi! Lots to explore on off the trail. Plan on at least an hour or 2 of hiking to make the loop. Note that this is NOT the place to park to get...
Read moreI'm not sure if I came at a bad time, or if I wasn't on the same trails as the other commenters, but the trails were BAD after the initial rock formations (going down to the backside). I had to go up through extremely rough terrain by the tower to get back to a trail and get down before losing all sunlight. I made it back to my car about 10 minutes before dark.
That said, beautiful area! I'd like to visit here again in summer, and in autumn before the leaves drop. Phenomenal views! Well worth the trip, but give yourself more than two hours before sundown to hike it, lol. Also, you might want to wear some pretty thick clothing, and/or bring a machete. I got all cut up...

Drove past the parking lot because the entrance sign was a dark brown 1x6. The parking lot is a flat spot of grass. Definitely look into existing maps before you get here to see the elevation and any interesting landmarks.
The path is an old logging trail, about a cars width. It was completely overgrown, in some cases up to my waist. The trail leads you around the bluff, not up it, at least the southern part. We decided to end the hike early because the overgrowth was so severe.
I found out later that there is a fire tower on the north side, as well as some bluffs for a nice view. Oh well, I’ll have to come here again! Definitely a beautiful place to visit if you want to avoid the Devils...
