Ah, the traffic circle. The eternal ouroboros of civic engineering. A circle without beginning, without end — a metaphor for life itself. I encountered this particular roundabout not with fear, nor with frustration, but with the quiet reverence one might feel approaching Stonehenge or a really nice Costco.
Upon entering, I felt the ego dissolve. Gone were notions of hierarchy. No stoplights, no tyrannical left turns, only the unspoken social contract of yield signs and awkward eye contact with fellow drivers. It was anarchy and order, chaos and choreography. It was… beautiful.
As I circled once, twice, thrice (okay, I missed my exit, sue me), I began to question: Was I driving the car, or was the car driving me? Is direction merely an illusion, a construct of our human need for linearity in an otherwise round existence?
Time lost meaning. I briefly remembered all my past lives. One of them drove a chariot.
This traffic circle did not merely manage congestion — it awakened something deep within. When I finally exited, I felt reborn. Changed. Slightly nauseous, sure, but at peace.
Would highly recommend. Five...
Read moreVerily, upon this humble circle of carriageways—yea, this roundabout, nestled where the roads do meet—there lieth a turning not merely of wheels, but of fates.
Lo! The traveler, once lost in the labyrinth of his own makings, arriveth at this enchanted ring, and with but a gentle curve of his helm, findeth himself reoriented toward destiny anew. Where once confusion reigned, now harmony doth glide on wheels of providence.
’Tis no mere junction, but a crucible of transformation; where haste doth slow, and minds do clear as morning dew. Aye, within this spinning calm, the soul may reckon with its course, and the heart may, perchance, learn patience—aye, even wisdom.
Mark me well: to pass through this sacred wheel is to know the world may change not in miles, but in moments, and that even the smallest circle may contain infinite rebirth.
Thus I declare, by heaven’s grace, this roundabout is no less than a quiet miracle, hid in plain sight— a revolving stage where man doth meet his...
Read moreI’ve been in the area for around 9 years, way back when this area wasn’t a traffic circle, it was a mere four way stop sign and before that when stop signs didn’t exist; you did a one honk to stop, two honks to go.
Although, in light of old events a traffic circle AKA roundabout was placed here for our “safety”. I’m all about safety, safety is my middle name but I don’t think this traffic circle is safe at all IF IM GOING 17 MILES AN HOUR GOING NORTH AND ANOTHER CAR GOING SOUTH AND THEN AS IM ABOUT TO ENTER THE CIRCLE (it’s my right of way) HE GOES AND MAKES A LEFT TURN THE WRONG WAY!!! MAKING ME SWERVE AND RUINING THE DANDELIONS (#hatzlachalandscaping)
I’d like to propose a new traffic plan that ensures safety for all those involved whether it people pedestrians, animals or even cars. It’s one thing and it’s quite simple; switch locations of Rockland community college and shiners. Simple,...
