If you like mountain climbing or rock climbing, you can choose this trail. The difficulty is medium and the time is about 2.5-3.5 hours. The color markings were small and caused us to go the wrong way twice. If you choose the left side when entering the mountain, when you see the red mark, go up the mountain along the brook. The scenery along the brook is good, you can take photos and check in. Sometimes the road is a little muddy, then you will encounter two small wooden bridges. After you see the orange mark at the fork in the road, Keep walking until you see the blue mark at the fork in the road and then go all the way to the top of the mountain. It's a bit steep when you go down. When you see the white mark at the bottom of the mountain, keep walking until you reach the exit. The order of color markings for completing a circle is red-orange-blue-white. If you choose the right when entering the mountain, then walk up the stones, then go to the bottom of the mountain, and start climbing after seeing the blue mark. The mountain is very steep, so be careful. After reaching the top of the mountain, you can take a break, eat something, drink some water, and take some photos. After seeing the scenery, start walking down, turn left when you see the orange mark, and then follow the brook until you see the red mark at the fork in the road, and keep walking until you reach the exit. The order of color markings to complete a circle is white-blue-orange-red. If you see black marks or yellow marks or other colored marks, you are on the wrong trail, or you want to try another trail. There is signal on the mountain. You can use the map on your mobile phone and check the map frequently to avoid going wrong at the fork in the road. It still feels good to hike in the spring, and I look forward to trying other...
Read moreMy wife, 7yr old daughter and I set off around 1.30pm on the trail going counter-clockwise. Trail was very rocky with reasonably steep up & down sections and beautiful views. We probably spent too much time on the first half making stops to enjoy the views because by the time we reached the mid point of the Reeves Brook Loop (i.e. the clearing at the top of mountain used as a service road) it was around 4pm meaning we had about an hour left before it got dark. We ended-up walking the final 3rd of the trail in the dark using our phones as flashlights. The trails are reasonably well marked but our advice would be to allow yourself plenty of time especially with...
Read moreGreat place to bring your family and best friend. The trail is not difficult. However, it is very rocky in some places. But I've seen some people "run" it while wearing running shoes. I've also seen a young lady falling on trail while running. She was about a mile away from the visitors center. She sped right pass me and slipped and fell. For a couple of seconds, she didn't move. A couple of other hikers came, my wife got the first aid from my backpack, and, together, we cleaned the cuts and bruises. And she eventually reached the visitors center. The reward for the hike is reaching the top and enjoying the view of the lake. Just be careful and hike...
