Owner was rude. Took a group of children (2) 3 year olds, (2) 6 year olds, and a 7 year old. One of the 6 year olds excitedly darted out 3 steps towards the strawberry row. I grabbed his hand and said not to run. The owner came over and yelled at the group. He pointed in the ones face and told them if they stepped on his plants he would kick them out of his field. The kids were so nervous about the plants they had me lift them over the rows. It appeared that the flags had not been moved in the rows. There was 4 feet of plants with nothing but mushy, wrinkled berries and not ripe berries. The younger ones picked by me and the older a bit ahead with me cleaning the row behind. Occasionally I had the older ones come back and go over the row again. They walked there little buckets up the aisle to dump into the flat. As I came down to have the older ones pick back by me, the owner came down and yelled at them for wandering and only taking the big berries. I can guarantee that 90 % were no bigger than a small bouncy ball. We had planned on getting 4 flats and I would have cleared any area I had let the children pick from. But after the yelling I thought it was best we left. The berries typically are very small, but because of there location it is convenient location . Will gladly drive another 10 mins to...
Read moreI loved the visit to the farm during the spring baby animal event. There were a variety of farm animals that you can walk right up to and pet. Some of the helpers will even pick up small animals like piglets, baby chicks, and baby lambs and allow you to hold them yourself. The people who work here are very friendly and willing to tell you some information about the animals. A great experience for the young ones and people who want to just go pet some animals. My personal favorite was going to pet and pick up the baby goats. There was a very cute brown little goat that fell asleep on my friend and it was very soft. The hand sanitizer was placed all around the facility so you can constantly clean your hands. The transportation was very convenient from and to the cars as they had a bus and golf carts constantly driving people back. A great experience for my friends and me. I would definitely...
Read moreWe took our sons there this morning, and were very disappointed just with the overall experience. For 60 dollars I would expect a little more enthusiasm and interaction from the workers/volunteers, but everyone really seemed like they either didn’t want to be there, that we were a burden, or were grouped together with other people working in the barn that they were friends with. At least a little interaction would be appreciated. Whoever was working the hand washing station was the only one that was outstanding with interacting with people, otherwise we really didn’t have a positive experience with any other worker. Also, while I understand that it’s a farm and there’s going to be animals, I didn’t exactly expect to have the farm dog constantly barking if we didn’t play fetch with him, and then to be told by the workers to throw the stick so that the dog stops barking is a...
