It is an absolutely beautiful place to go and visit. I have been coming here with my family for over 20 years. Usually, we stay in the Quaker area, but occasionally, we will spend a couple of nights in Red House. There are plenty of trails to walk and explore. Some short and sweet, then others that are 5 plus miles stretching through the woods. They also have some that are alongside the roads, allowing you to see other camping trails and cabins without going through the woods. Where you can ride bikes, scooters, roller blades, etc. In the spring and summer. Or even use snow mobiles in the winter. Beautiful lakes for fishing where you can catch Trout, Northern Pike, and other fish. You can see black bears, deer, fox, Turkey, snakes, chipmunks, and all sorts of birds as you walk trails or drive around to see different sights. We have even seen Bobcats before, but very rare. It's also dog friendly. There are plenty of cabins to choose from. Some offer clean bathrooms with showering areas and a place to wash dishes. Worst case, you can simply walk or drive to one. They have non electric with wood burning stove & electric with gas to provide heat and I believe all have ovens and a fridge. Beautiful sights, parks you can take the kids to, a beach that is open seasonally, and a convenience store that is open except during the off-season. You can get wood delivered to your cabin typically if you don't feel like getting it yourself. My family, friends, and I have always enjoyed ourselves here. They have the Seneca Casino about 40 minutes away in Salamanca with a supermarket, dispensaries, and other things of that sort if you need to get away from nature and take a break. However, there is also a gas station upon entering the park in Quaker area that is usually open. It is an awesome place to visit and go enjoy with fun activities to enjoy for everybody. I posted some pics for sights but did not include many good ones as well as videos I have to exclude my family in them. But, if you're ever thinking about going, I highly...
Read moreHad a fantastic weekend here! We were happy we could bring the pup. Our cabin was clean and lucky conveniently near the new bathroom, which was perfect. The new bathrooms were clean and well maintained. They have family bathrooms and a place to wash your dishes. The area was beautiful, lots of wild life. Lots of hiking. Love the new bike path! Lakes not far and only 20 mins from Bradford.
Edit: Bathrooms could use more attending too! Toilet paper out of stock, poop on the walls, everything’s dirty quickly. These bathrooms are beautiful! And going up quickly! But they should have someone staffed for all three around the clock maintenance to avoid these beautiful bathrooms turning into the out houses. By the way. Toxic! The bathroom near Hamlin was so bad I couldn’t breath to pee, there is no way to squat. The sanitation...
Read moreSo, we've stayed in both the Red House and Quaker areas, in both campsites and cabins, and I think I prefer the Red House area overall. That said, Quaker has some steeper hills/ridges, so the feel is different than around Red House Lake. The bulk of the camping sites at Quaker are near the Lake, and the cabins, store, amphitheater, etc. are over a mile away. Most of the cabins are in a linear layout along ASP 1, but they are updating several of the bathroom/shower facilities, making the cabin experiences much nicer. Over the last few years, they have also put in a nice biking/walking trail that actually connects the cabin areas to the distant camping sites at...
