The reservoir was created with the completion of a hydroelectric dam in 1912. It has the capacity to hold 56,000 acre-feet of water. It is the larger of the Salmon River's two reservoirs.

Good place to camp at. Free! You have to be there first to get the campsite first. The mosquitos are awful though! Worse than many other campsites I've gone to. Most of the spots you can't swim at because of the way the water is, the rocks there, snakes, etc. However, there are other good spots you can camp at and swim at. Just gotta find them! (Which can be a bit difficult).

I go here several times every summer to camp and fish, it's really quiet here, very family friendly! If you need a break, I highly suggest going here!

Good place to camp at. Free! You have to be there first to get the campsite first. The mosquitos are awful though! Worse than many other campsites I've gone to. Beautiful scenery at the Primitive campsite that I went to but unfortunately the locals know it well and some of the locals get kind of creepy I imagine if you're a female somebody approaching you that's being a male you would be weary of this place me and my girlfriend went and let's just say we didn't have a pleasant experience the locals need to be watched in this area needs to be observed a little bit more beautiful scenery though I don't think I'll...
